Carbon fibre and aluminium pole have the right head for heights October 30th 2008 Aquafactors says it is delighted by the success of its ‘Aspire’ carbon fibre pole. Introduced at WINDEX, in March, the new pole has a specially resilient carbon fibre mix which gives it considerable strength. It also bends less at height. Combined with a new head assembly Aquafactors says the pole offers greater flexibility in use than many competitive options.
The company says Tucker brushes have a 'remarkable reputation' and when used with the ‘Aspire’ pole there is very little flattening of the bristles – a problem with many brushes in the market-place. The pole gives more reach into corners, better overall cleaning ability and a longer brush life expectancy.
The new head assembly is available on both the ’Aspire’ and Aquafactors aluminium poles. It has a push fit/quick release goose neck and no tools are necessary to disconnect. A screw bezel locks the components together. There is also a hose connection at the pole base. A fully adjustable, rotating brush head is also available as an additional accessory to be sold separately. The ‘Aspire’ pole is designed as a single hose feed through to a 12” brush head. In addition to a 38’, 50’, 57’ and 67’ reach poles there is a 5’ Mini pole.
Aquafactors is retaining its involvement in aluminium poles, selling them alongside its new range of ‘Aspire’ carbon fibre poles. The company claims aluminium poles below 35’ match almost equally with carbon fibre. There is little difference in weight yet prices can be over 40% lower, making aluminium poles highly competitive. The big difference in carbon fibre poles is their weight and handling ability at very high levels. The ‘aspire’ pole at 67’ weighs almost the same as an aluminium pole at 45’. Aquafactors says carbon fibre poles do not bend as much when fully extended.
Aquafactors is marketing poles in two directions. Its range of aluminium poles consists of a 15’, 20’, 25’, 30, 35’, 40’ and 45’. Its ‘Aspire’ range starts at 38’. There is a 50’, 57’ and 67’ pole. In addition there is a 5’ mini pole in both aluminium and carbon fibre. Both weigh 1.4kg with the single section ‘Aspire’ version cheaper than the aluminium version by almost £105.00.
