Ceiling cleaning - distributors required
January 28th 2008

Most ceilings in commercial environments are acoustical: They absorb sound and reflect light to make for a better environment resulting in reduced background noise and increased luminance. But soiled ceilings can pose a health threat and increased fire hazard, according to Ceiling Pro UK.

The existing alternative has been to replace or paint the tiles. Both solutions have negative implications since neither is as cost competitive as cleaning, generally resulting in a 70% saving on replacement and 50% on painting.

Because warm air rises, it lifts contaminants to ceiling surfaces. These pollutants grow, multiply and then randomly drop back down into the air we breathe. Over time, ceilings become repositories of dirt, grease, dust and toxic micro-organisms not visible to the human eye.

The Ceiling Pro UK solution is a one stage spray mist process for fibre tiles and the non-toxic solution will just ‘carry away’ the dirt and grime. However, to bring tiles up like new, just wipe the grid and other ceiling hardware. This includes light lenses, sprinklers, recessed speakers and smoke detectors etc.

Metal or vinyl tiles, mostly found in commercial kitchens, are called 'hygiene tiles', but are they ever cleaned? These tiles, being non-porous, require a two stage process. The second stage requires wiping off since vinyl isn’t porous and the soiling needs to be wiped away with an absorbent cloth.

The solution used is tailored to that type of soiling. Ceiling Pro UK has formulae for most types of soiling including: general dirt and grime; nicotine; cooking grease; traffic film etc.

Requiring minimal preparation, the rapid process minimises disruption, which night and weekend cleans eliminate althogether.

The solution is odourless and available exclusively to Ceiling Pro UK Local Dealers. For certain environments (waiting rooms and reception areas for example) a bouquet can be added to the solution to give the room a renewed freshness.

Local dealers have been trained in the USA and are backed by 19 years experience from Ceiling Pro International, which has over 500 established local dealers across the Americas.

Other treatments also include walls and floors to remove all kinds of soiling. Stubborn grease, on kitchen walls and tiles, is no problem either. A solution developed for the treatment of commercial garage floors is also available.

Another solution is specifically designed for sanitisation and kills the MRSA virus. CPI cleans many hospitals in the USA, which unlike the UK, doesn't have problems with MRSA.

According to the company, becoming a CP UK dealer is a niche business that offers high profits, virtually no competition and is in high demand.
