Free Laundry Design Service for Architects

Girbau UK has launched a free on-premise laundry (OPL) design service for architects and their clients including hotels, hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools, colleges, sheltered housing and veterinary surgeries.

The company supplies, installs and maintains commercial and industrial laundry equipment. The free design and advice service offered to architects encompasses every aspect of on-premise laundry installation including equipment selection, services supply, energy efficiency, drainage, ventilation and space requirements. The company will also advise on meeting all relevant regulations including water bylaws, sterile wash and sluice programmes, especially for hospitals and care homes.

"We realised it made sense to offer a dedicated laundry design service for architects," says Peter Marsh, managing director of Girbau UK. "Whether for new-build or refurbishment of existing laundries, we frequently find that if we had been consulted earlier in the design process, it would have saved time and money."
