Fast drying floor finish for fast growing furnishing store

One of Britain's fastest growing home furnishing store has chosen Betco Express the fast drying floor finish for its new showpiece Sussex store.

The retailer specified that that the finishing touch before opening for trading, would be five coats of Betco Express floor seal and shine system.

What he didn't know that when specifying Betco was that there would be a power cut on the night of its application. Operating on only two hours of emergency power was enough for the five coats to be applied throughout the store. The same number of applications of any other floor sealer/polish could not have been carried out and dried in only two hours.

Betco Express dries with a wet look shine ready to walk on in five minutes.

Harry Jusindra, Area Manager for Britannia Services Group the cleaning contractors said: "There is no way we could have closed the store the night before our first day's trading, just to allow a floor to dry. With Betco Express we simply coned off small areas at a time whilst store staff continued stocking shelves elsewhere."

The Sussex store covers 28,000 sq ft including a mezzanine retail area. The store has a range of man made coverings including Vinyl and Amtico who have in the USA approved Betco Express as a sealer/polish for its products.

Harry said: "Compared with our previous floor treatments this has been an eye opening experience. We have now saved money on materials and a lot of time so our Client is very happy. It was quicker to apply Betco Express than to machine clean the floor."

With five coats of Betco Express it is unlikely that the store will need any further attention for four to six months.
