Acquisition of Contico manufacturing
June 28th 2007

Vernon Holmes has led a management buy-out team to purchase Contico Manufacturing from Katy Industries, based in Arlington, USA. The move was made possible with the support of Proventec, who now own an 80% equity stake in Contico. Continuing to operate from Redruth, the company predict further business development and expansion of its product range.

Proventec manages a portfolio of integrated businesses, specialising in preventative coatings technologies and hygienic solutions, including OspreyDeepClean. It has an active research and development programme, working with companies and technical institutes across Italy, Germany, Holland and the UK.

“I am extremely excited and confident about this positive step towards the future growth of Contico,” says Vernon Holmes. “I very much look forward to working within the Proventec Group and continuing to lead the way in offering our customers the highest levels of quality and service.”
