New chairman to raise profile of CSSA July 31st 2007 Douglas Cooke was officially appointed new Chairman of the Cleaning & Support Services Association (CSSA) at an annual lunch event at the Savoy Hotel in London, taking over from previous chairman Roger Goodman.
Cooke's efforts to increase the membership and raise the profile of the association will concentrate on the commercial sector, with his main objective to encourage more SME’s with a turnover of between £1-10million plus to join the association by conveying the benefits that the association can bring to businesses in the cleaning sector.
Cooke will spend time visiting members during the course of the year, on a fact finding mission of the service the CSSA offers, which will be key to the continued growth of the association.
The CSSA offers its members a range of benefits and expert services and currently represents 70% of the contract cleaning industry throughout the UK and Ireland.
