Truvox/Tacony merger sealed

Truvox is set for major product range extensions after finalising its acquisition by US giant Tacony late last year.

As a result, the Southampton-based firm is now a full line floor care machine supplier with worldwide penetration through the Powr-Flite, CFR Environmental, Carpet Cleaning Systems, Truvox and Cimex ranges. In addition, the company this month launched a new line of Wet and Dry vacuums and compact Air Movers.

MD Peter Holt says the deal is good news for customers, who will benefit directly from global economies of scale, initially in back packs, tub vacs and upright vacuums. “We will shortly have a range that is very, very competitive on both price and performance,” he says.

Truvox’s senior management team remains unchanged, with Peter Holt, David Overall and Roger Papp continuing to drive the UK business forward. In line with expansion plans, the company now seeks larger premises in the Southampton area.
