Award winning electric street sweeper
December 20th 2007 The future of street sweeping is pollution-free, low noise and high economy, said judges at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management when they awarded Vehicle of the Year 2007 to Industrial Cleaning Machines’ new electric street sweeper.
The ECOSweep 360 is is powerful enough to handle inclines, sweeps and vacuums into a large 360-litre hopper, lasts a full shift on a single overnight charge – and running costs are just £1.50 for eight hours work.
As well as being trialled by municipal authorities in the UK, the ECOSweep 360 is also being demonstrated at hospitals – where noise and pollution are significant factors – airports, and industrial sites, where indoor and outdoor surfaces need to be cleaned. No emissions make it suitable for sensitive areas, such as chemical and pharmaceutical plants.
