Floods flash August 29th 2007 Belfor UK says it has been handling residential jobs at 430 per cent of its normal workload and commercial at 200 per cent. MD Dr Greg French says he’s “never experienced anything like this in 20 years.”
He says Belfor’s global footprint and European partners have been a boon in terms of assistance.
Dave Matthews at Climate Hire says staff worked from 6am to 10pm including weekends to help enable the clean-up. The firm has 3,000 pieces of equipment currently out on hire.
While the flooding hit just when Ebac was about to start its summer shutdown, the firm worked overtime to bring back all European stock from Germany. Ebac says its new Kompact dehumidifier is receiving great feedback.
Chemspec says demand for its anti-microbial products has never been higher, but is pleased to report it had enough stock to cope with exceptional demand.
