 More vans, more kit, less hassle For windows you could eat your dinner off September 27th 2006 In 1996 Mark Toovey formed his own company – Alfresco Cleaning Services in Didcot, Oxfordshire, initially focusing on domestic and commercial window cleaning from ladders. A decade later the company now runs four vans, all fitted with water fed pole systems. Alfresco Cleaning Services is a member of the National Federation of Window Cleaners and is IPAF Approved. Alfresco covers the Birmingham area, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
All Alfresco vans are fitted with Satellite Navigation Systems/ tracking systems to enable rapid response by re deploying a vehicle to call outs.
All our operators are trained in the use of access equipment, such as Eyebolts, harnesses and cable way systems and all types of access plant.
The company has its own 22m truck mounted platform based on a Nissan Cabstar. Also Alfresco Cleaning Services has its own track mounted 15m narrow access platform which enables it to deliver extra services – and is available for hire to other cleaning companies.
Safety has always been paramount to Alfresco and all staff have attended ISOH Health and Safety Awareness Training Course and courses run by The British Window Cleaning Academy. All staff are also Government cleared and police checked.
Alfresco also offers other high level cleaning services – such as internal cleaning to shopping centres, warehouses and external cleaning to cladding and pigeon deterrents.
The company's client list includes Thames Valley Police Authority, Miele Headquarters, BBC Listening Centre and Wragge & Co Solicitors.
The company now plans to invest in more powered access plant to deliver further services and meet future work at height legislation.
