Tork Advanced 400 wipers now 30 per cent stronger

High-volume Tork Advanced 400 industrial wipers have just been upgraded and are now 30 per stronger, bulkier and more absorbent than ever before.

SCA Tissue Europe has changed the manufacturing process of these wipers and as a result they look, feel and perform even better than their predecessors.

Tork Advanced 400 wipers are suitable for almost any medium-duty wiping or cleaning wiping application in the industrial workplace. The three product grades - 420, 430, and 440 – together replace the previous Tork Advanced range.

Industrial users who simply need a high-volume product for general wiping tasks can opt for Tork Advanced 420. If they require more absorption capacity or greater strength from their wiper, they can then move up the performance ladder to Tork Advanced 430 or 440.

The new wipers have a patented ‘swirl’ pattern that gives them a distinctive appearance while making them softer and more environmentally friendly. This is because the wipers are only bonded together at the pattern points, which means that less glue is used than with other glue embossed methods.

The wipers are made using the latest lamination technology which improves the ply bonding and prevents any separation of the layers during use. Meanwhile, the use of Through Air Dried tissue in the manufacture of Tork Advanced 420 and 430 wipers has increased their softness, absorbency and bulk by around 30 per cent.

Tork Advanced 400 wipers offer cost in use benefits, too, since they are highly durable and absorb more liquid – and do it faster – than ever. The added bulk of the wipers makes them feel more substantial in the hand and this deters users from taking more product than they need.

Tork Advanced 400 wipers are stronger both when wet and when dry, which means that fewer wipers are required to carry out the same tasks. They are also more lightweight than their predecessors for ease of transport.

Tork Advanced 400 wipers are part of a logical new brand assortment that will make it easier for distributors to sell - and industrial managers to buy - Tork wipers.

The Tork wiping range now consists of three different grades: Tork Premium 500 non-woven products for multiple use; Tork Advanced 400 TAD/tissue products for single use, and Tork Universal 300 dry crepe wipers for single use.

Available in both blue and white, Tork Advanced 400 wipers are food contact approved and ISEGA certified for HACCP compliance. They also adhere to the new EPD European environmental product directive.
