Poles to the North Pole?
October 30th 2006

Derbyshire-based independent manufacturer, Facelift Cleaning Systems, says its new breed of high quality, lightweight poles meet the needs of professional window cleaners, whilst maintaining a competitive pricing policy.

Facelift launched its glass and carbon fibre poles at this year's Windex show in March and is now supplying poles to end-users from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand.

In response to the worldwide interest, Facelift is establishing a distributor network to make its poles more readily available. From its Chesterfield workshop the company has the tooling capacity to supply 50,000 poles, yet retains its grassroots ethos – there's still no minimum order level.

Facelift Cleaning Systems was established in 2003 to develop and expand the water fed pole manufacturing market. The company is headed by directors,Daniel Thomas and Philip Smith, who has more than 20 years experience in the industrial window-cleaning sector.

Philip said:"We used our industry experience to develop a pole that was robust, yet easy to handle and offered unrivalled cleaning ability.

"Currently demand for our products is exceeding supply and the feedback so far has been incredibly positive." Facelift can provide poles for other applications and is intending to make its new telescopic pole available throughout Europe. Further projects are underway and will be revealed at the NEC cleaning show next year.
