Window cleaner caught napping
November 29th 2006

A window cleaner in the US caused panic when it appeared he'd fallen asleep on the job – at the top of a sky scraper!

According to www.ananova.com, pedestrians in Nashville, Tennessee, raised the alarm when he appeared not to have moved for a while. Firefighters were called to the scene – and managed to rouse him by tugging on his ropes and waving a sign from inside the building at eye level.

The unnamed window cleaner then descended for a check-up with waiting paramedics. Passer-by Leroy Anderson who watched the sleepy squeegee-wielder said he thought the man had either passed out, or just fallen asleep. "It's sunny and warm up there," he proferred.
