When sponsorship takes the p*ss
July 31st 2006

Offical sponsorship rules at the ongoing fiasco otherwise known as the new Wembley Stadium have seen hundreds of urinals returned to Armitage Shanks – because they bore the manufacturer's name.

According to The Mirror, hundreds of urinals were returned to comply with the demands of offical sponsors. Anxious to point out that no further cash had gone down the pan at the vastly over budget and behind schedule development, a Wembley spokesperson said it had not resulted in any further costs.

On a positive note, the new Wembley, houses 2,618 toilets and urinals – more conveniences than any other building in the world. Which might be handy come half time.
