The eco-friendly cleaner, designed with economy in mind, costs just a penny to charge for 24 hours, which the company says has delighted environmentalists.

The fully manoeuvrable swivel head, long handle and lightweight body also make cleaning around the home or office effortless, according to Ewbank.

Earlex Group director Colin Webber said the company was delighted to be launching another new product under one of the most enduring household brands in Britain.
