Throwing out profits with the washwater? August 31st 2005 Winterhalter says its technology is significantly reducing lifetime costs of glasswashers and dishwashers by reducing water, energy and detergent use.
It claims WHITec (Winterhalter Indirect Heating Technology) flat panel elements deliver better heating and lower energy consumption by removing the ‘kettle stye’ heating element from the equation. Limescale and dirt accumulation – the most common cause of efficiency loss in conventional heating elements – are minimised. Consequentially, Winterhalter has reduced the size of its wash tanks: each wash cycle now uses a third less water. The result is a reduction in detergent, softener and rinse aid. Three stage filtration also maximises washwater life.
These advances, says Winterhalter, mean the product’s lifecycle is increased and maintenance reduced. Combined with simple controls (one button control panels) and self-cleaning mechanisms, the company says staff costs are also minimised.
