WFBSC secures observer status at UN Commission
January 10th 2012

The World Federation of Building Service Contractors (WFBSC) has secured observer status at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe GHS subcommittee in Geneva. This subcommittee is responsible for global policy on the regulation of chemical products including cleaning chemicals.

Speaking after the meeting Andrew Large, executive vice president of the World Federation, said:“The WFBSC is delighted that its application for observer status has been approved. This represents a step change improvement in our ability to represent the interests of global cleaning employers.

We look forward to engaging with the UN subcommittee in the coming months to ensure that the position of downstream cleaning chemical users is fully understood by the regulatory authorities.”
