The toilet that talks back
October 1st 2008

Chances are that a toilet will soon be talking back to you. After a ‘number one’ or a ‘number two’, this toilet will perform a ‘number three’ – a spoken message. In addition to requesting you to “Remember to wash your hands” or “Please flush,” the Clean Seat Matic toilet can also play advertisements.Toilets in department stores could deliver messages about in-store offers, and toilets in pubs or restaurants could let you know when it is ‘happy hour’.

A hand gesture in front of an infrared sensor lowers the toilet seat and covers it with a clean toilet seat cover. After using the lavatory, the toilet seat cover is automatically flushed and the seat reverts to its upright position.
