Take the fast boat to China or miss out August 1st 2006 By Mark Armitage, ISSA director of European Services
China's annual economic growth rate of nine percent is one of the fastest in the world and its emerging market has become a major focal point for global expansion in recent years. Increased economic activity in China has triggered the construction of roads, buildings, restaurants and hotels on a large scale in order to handle the anticipated influx of people and businesses. With all these increasingly modern facilities has come the need to ensure they are maintained and cleaned to Western standards. As a result of this tremendous economic expansion, the market for professional cleaning services is currently enjoying double-digit growth.
Meeting and addressing these demanding needs is the goal for the first ISSA/INTERCLEAN China which takes place in Shanghai on the 20-22 September this year in the ShanghaiMart Expo. Leading international companies in the cleaning industry including Viper, Comac, Nilfisk, Krcher, IPC, Minuteman, Tennant, and CEBE Reinigungschenie GmbH are already set to attend this groundbreaking event in the global cleaning industry calendar
The aftermath of SARS and the avian influenza scares have brought sanitation and hygiene awareness up the agenda in China and the larger Asia Pacific region. Exhibitors and visitors to ISSA/INTERCLEAN China will find themselves in the ideal place to capitalise on this rising interest, while expanding their knowledge of and influence in the cleaning industry.
A forward-looking and cuttingedge educational conference will also accompany the tradeshow. This conference will be invaluable for enterprises interested in doing business in China by offering insight and practical advice on how to succeed in China's growing cleaning economy.
With the need to facilitate business and discussions on the tradeshow floor, an interpreter will also be on hand to mediate between vendors and visitors allowing businesses to get the most out of their experience on the tradeshow floor.
This year's ISSA/INTERCLEAN China show promises to be educational and enjoyable event for all who attend, expanding knowledge while introducing new and innovative ideas to the cleaning industry.
