December 1st 2009 The overall winners of the Tidy Wales Award were the Flintshire Neighbourhood Watch Association’s Eco Watch Rangers. 300 young volunteer rangers and local residents, have removed 500 bags of rubbish and 150 bags of glass, cans and plastic from towns and villages in the county.
Deborah Morris from Hayle Cornwall became the World’s Fastest Lady Window Cleaner, in a competition held by the Federation of Window Cleaners in Blackpool. She broke the current world record for cleaning three windows, as set out by Guinness book of records, with a time of 22.42 seconds, slicing nearly a full second off the previous world record time of 23.38 seconds, set by Janine Guisley in 2005.
