Maximising potential for infection control
May 1st 2005

By now we all recognise the importance of quality monitoring in the healthcare environment to comply with the national standards of cleanliness. This process is even more efficient than ever before through the use of Maximiser from Expolink Europe, the computerised handheld quality monitoring system.Maximiser is widely used as the preferred system by over 100 hospitals in the UK, either directly, or through blue chip cleaning contractors.

In addition to this many clients have started to recognise the benefits of using Maximiser to comply with requirements of the Quality Monitoring Infection Control Program. Our main aim is to advance infection prevention by working closely with facilities management and infection control teams to provide the ultimate goal of safe and effective patient care.

New developments to the Maximiser programme include individual infection control checklists through a modular licence. Literally “maximising” the operational use of one system to achieve the best results throughout the hospital.

Maximiser allows effortless joint monitoring between the ward sister, infection control staff and other auditors. The information is electronically stored making shared access instantly available for audit action plans to be constructed and stored in the infection control office ensuring compliance with the Controls assurance and CNST criteria.
