Traditionally the brush has been the essential tool for cleaning
floors and other surfaces. Compressed air is also used to blow
down dust and debris. Little thought is given to the resultant
cloud of dust that can envelop the operators breathing zone and
migrate through the factory, harming other operatives before settling
on surfaces, ledges and machinery – to be disturbed again later by
another brush.
