Cleaning kit makes Atex areas safe
August 1st 2006

It is essential to use the right equipment in Atex designated areas and it is down to companies making products in explosive atmospheres to carry out a risk assessment and designate each area.

According to the latest regulations, cleaning equipment must match this designation. An example is the most common designation, Zone 22 Dust Atmosphere, which may at some times occur. This means the cleaning equipment used must also be designated Zone 22. Others may be Dust Zone 21 or Gas Zone 22 or 21.

Freddy Products, specialist in industrial coolant vacuums for over 30 years, bow supplies industrial cleaning equipment for Atex areas and advises on their use in many industries from food to chemicals.
