New machine age October 1st 2008 IPS Converters recently
completed a new converting
machine designed and built by
its team of engineers to cope
with the increase in the sales of
its industrial range.The company
says demand for its industrial
wipes has gone up by 60% this
year, bucking the economic
downturn predicted.
The new equipment was
officially started up by Professor
Chris Carr departmental head of
Paper and Textiles at Manchester
University. IPS says it is one of the
few tissue manufacturers and
converters in the north west that
has shown such growth in the
recent economic climate.
IPS started business in 1963
and now has a 30,000ft2
production warehouse facility
near the M62. It is a converter of
disposable cellulose,nonwoven
and polymer raw materials.
IPS Converters provides inhouse
manufacture of machinery
and converted products for
healthcare and industrial markets
and recently included a wet wipe
