UK sales office aids expansion

Comet has set up a new UK sales office as part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the UK market. It has placed Derek Robson in charge of its UK sales and marketing operation. He will be responsible for further developing sales of its wide range of pressure washers.He will also be appointing a number of regional distributors to expand the existing distribution network.

Comet has been an established name in the UK pressure washer market for more than 20 years, with thousands of end users benefiting from its sales and maintenance network. It sells a wide range of hot and cold pressure washers including petrol, diesel and electrical powered versions for both industrial and commercial use.

The setting up of the UK sales office in Poynton, near Manchester, follows a massive investment by Comet into their new 128 000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Italy. It has subsidiaries in France, USA and South Africa in addition to the UK, and exports 65% of its production to a total of 85 countries worldwide.

Derek Robson, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the pressure washer industry, and for the last 10 years has been selling Comet equipment to end users, said:“The creation of the new UK sales office and the commitment of Comet provides a tremendous opportunity to consolidate the position of the company as a leading brand in the UK pressure washer market.
