Railing against graffiti December 1st 2003 Steve Dale, Solvent Solutions shows how the development of large scale graffiti on trains needs a different approach
Graffiti has become, in recent years, a big problem. Its always been there but the explosion of organised youths, hell bent on covering large areas with a tag, has grown. The problem used to be a
scribble but now it can be a couple of carriages of a train. This also means that some companies have had to rise to the task a removing it professionally. Its all well and good when theres just a scribble on the boys school toilets any cleaning company can remove that what do you use chemically and mechanically when its as long as a railway carriage.
Nationally, there are a few companies that offer a professional service in graffiti removal, who consider the environment and use non-caustic biodegradable chemicals. The chemicals used to remove the graffiti
shown in the pictures, are approved for the removal of graffiti from the Nations railway infrastructure. Graffiti is vandalism, and it not
removed correctly and without trace, graffiti vandals are encouraged to return. The Government has recently stated that a large effort will be
made to clear this problem and that more money will be spent by local government in the removal of this offence. On request, we can supply assistance in the removal of
graffiti either with chemicals or labour. |
