A range of machines with an industrial focus
October 1st 2005

With a range of models that embraces every aspect of floor cleaning, from carpet spray extraction to high speed floor polishing, Cleanfix naturally has models that meet the needs of the industrial user

All Cleanfix machines feature clean lines and simple, uncomplicated controls that anyone with the minimum of instruction can use. This aspect is ideal for premises that do not have a dedicated cleaner or contractor on-site and where several operators may use the machine.

Of course, for industrial applications you would expect a degree of robustness, and so Cleanfix rotomoulded machines are certainly built to take the knocks.

Their pedestrian operated sweeper range offers both manual and battery driven versions, each with large capacity and wide cleaning widths. The manual sweeper benefits from the side brush being able to be raised off the floor to enable the sweeper to be taken from area to area or from inside to out with as little fuss as possible.

Cleanfix powered sweepers offer battery drive for fast and dust-free sweeping up to 3000 sq m per hour, and crucially, cleaning right up to the edge of walls or fixtures such as production machines.

Installed with efficient dust filters, a warehouse or factory floor can be properly swept clean - without dust being thrown back into the air only to resettle upon stored goods. Dirt, dust and debris are swept right to the back of the machine where a handy drawer enables easy emptying of the capacious 35 or 42 litres container.

Thanks to its ergonomic design the dust filters are sensibly positioned right above the dirt container and when the drawer is opened, cleaning or changing of these is easy. For battery changing or for routine maintenance the hood of the machine lifts completely off to allow uninhibited access to the battery and drive motor.

The autoscrubber range is where Cleanfix claims that it truly stands out from the crowd. Even the smallest machines, while compact, and therefore ideal for smaller areas or for more space-restricted premises, actually come loaded with additional features, including adjustable handle, removable tank and twin squeegees which are suitablel for cleaning both forward and back. The squeegees may be raised, again for ease of movement between areas that need to be cleaned.

A roller brush system for non-slip and textured or embossed floors is also available in this range, which in addition features a membrane or flexible tank system to maximise capacity while minimising the overall dimensions of the machine. How this works is that the machine starts with the membrane filled with cleaning solution; as this is used it is displaced by dirty water coming in. This has the effect of doubling the tank capacity, but without increasing the size of the machine.

Mains or battery powered, any observer will note the neat and simple controls sensibly placed on the handle within easy reach.

A capacious single disc machine, the RA 430, is available with such a round and rugged appearance that it seems a truck could drive over it - and it would still work. Again, designed for multi-users in potentially tough environments, the balanced, readily transportable RA 430 is easy to use, but powerful and effective, thus making it suitable for cleaning contractors. Available with brush or pad drive disc.

And for floors where you think one or two brushes isn't enough - try using three.

The RA 530 battery powered autoscrubber has two disc brushes and a roller brush. This three-brush system is said to optimise cleaning on non-slip floors, while the powerful suction and trailing squeegee removes all trace of moisture so that the floor is left clean and dry and ready for use.

Although there are additional pedestrian operated machines in the range, it's time now to look at the new Cleanfix ride-on, the RA Sauber.

Combining manoeuvrability with speed and power this machine is at least 50% faster than a walk-behind - yet its design allows it to fit through doorways only 80 cms wide.

As you would expect, the turning circle is very narrow at only 185 cms and with a working width of 76 cms you could take this ride-on machine just about anywhere a pedestrian one would go. But with 5500 sq m per capacity and 4 hours autonomy, you know you can achieve well over 20000 sq m in a single shift.
