Upgrades to trolley service
February 1st 2008

A new trolley system has been introduced to meet the ever-increasing demand for safer, more hygienic cleaning of hospitals and environmentally sensitive areas

The Alpha Rokleen Trolley from Robert Scott & Sons encompasses the principles of the original Rokleen trolley system and introduces a host of improvements.

Kelly Fallas, medical business sales manager, Robert Scott & Sons, says "The original Rokleen trolley system took full advantage of the effectiveness of Microfibre but combined it with a unique ability to further control the problems of cross-contamination in sensitive environmental areas and also help reduce labour costs and prevent the excessive use of chemicals.

"In developing the new Alpha Rokleen system we have taken on board three major requirements highlighted by hospitals and cleaning contractors.Namely: the need to ensure greater hygiene, the desire for a system that can be stored easily, and a trolley that can safely hold and store mops, cloths and litter without any danger of cross contamination.

"The Alpha Trolley is made entirely from plastic components, which can be recycled safely and easily after use and the entire system has been designed to fold away for compact storage. The Alpha's undercarriage is completely sealed which prevents any dirt or micro-organic bacteria sticking to the trolley whilst in use – the wheels, which have been produced from recyclable non-scratch rubber, also prevent pick up of dirt and ensure that no unsightly scratching of floors occurs".

"Storage on the trolley itself has also been improved with a split-level storage shelf and triple closed bag holders for mops, cloths and litter.A lockable side door and a secure key holding compartment adds to the security aspect of the trolley."
