Stations on hand for germ control August 1st 2011 According to Manty Stanley from
Teal Patents:"Technology now
means you can have a hot water
handwash with liquid soap
almost anywhere and that's the
only way you can eradicate crossinfection
of HCAIs such as c-diff
and norovirus."
He continues:"Our work with
the NHS should be providing
portable hot water handwash
units so they can be strategically
positioned to encourage both
medical teams and visitors to
make preventative use of them.
However,we're often only called
when trouble strikes and there's a
need to enforce handwashing to
rid the ward of an infection.
"Alcohol hand gels and foams
fail to kill the majority of
contaminants including the
deadly clostridiumdifficile
or
norovirus.1. If hands
are visibly soiled,
you must wash
them with hot
water and soap."
TEAL Patents
offer a range of
portable, selfcontained
hot
water handwash
stations of which
some of the leading NHS trusts
use for management of infection
outbreaks and when water supply
is disrupted during building
works and maintenance. More articles from Teal Patents Ltd: |
