Vectair's range of hygiene products offers health professionals a solution in the battle against air borne bacteria and viruses.

Included in the range is the Sanitex Instant soap dispenser with its pouch feature, the 100ml hand-held instant hand sanitizer and the Safeseat Surface Sanitizer, which tackles bacteria on surfaces such as toilet seats.

Vectair also manufactures Prozone, an automatic ozone generator which recreates ozone produced by lightning on oxygen to eliminate lingering, unpleasant odours. It has been tested against The new mobile BigSynk from TEAL is a trolley based selfcontained unit which needs no plumbing or drainage connections and once plugged in can provide up to 150 ten second hot washes.

Hand washing before and after patient contact is one of the Department of Health's main criteria for reducing hospital care acquired infections (HCAIs).The BigSynk can be positioned at the point of impact to encourage staff and visitors to use it.

Several UK medical establishments have already purchased the BigSynk to enable people to wash their hands before and after entering wards.

It is suitable for providing bedridden patients with washing facilities or for nursing staff to use when giving bed baths.

Micrococcus luteus bacteria, a gram positive bacteria belonging to the family Micrococcaceae, found in soil, dust,water and air, and as part of the normal flora of the mammalian skin. It also colonises in the human mouth, mucosae, oropharynx and upper respiratory tract.
