Tapping into automated washing October 1st 2007 Teal has launched the
Hygienius, a new product that
allows individuals to wash their
hands without touching a tap.
Placing hands in the bowl
triggers a sensor which
instantaneously heats water and
delivers a ten second wash at
the optimum temperature of
40–450C.
The Hygienius requires no
plumbing or drainage and is
completely portable.The unit is
free standing and requires a 13
amp socket for operation.
Moulded in tough, high
impact polyethylene with an
acrylic capped ABS bowl, the
Hygienius is fully automatic with
no switches, buttons or settings
to be adjusted.The unit's
TEALtainer stores ten litres of
clean water – enough for 50 ten
second hand washes – and
features a separate
compartment to hygienically
store dirty water. The Hygienius
uses 75 per cent less water than
automatic taps and, claims Teal,
its electronically controlled
instantaneous heater keeps
energy costs down to as little as
one fifth of a conventionally
plumbed in system. More articles from Teal Patents Ltd: |
