Safety specs and respirator in one
December 1st 2009 A new concept in eye and
respiratory protection has been
developed by JSP that solves the
problem of non-compatibility of
safety eyewear and disposable
masks as well as increasing
overall comfort
for the wearer.
The Filterspec
unit combines a mask
and disposable filter
with safety
spectacles in a way
that allows both
protective devices to work
independently, but in harmony.
Spectacles with a mask can be
uncomfortable.Glasses can cause
mask leakage, reducing
protection and misting lenses.
The wrap around one-piece
lens is anti-mist and anti-scratch
coated as standard, while the
mask holder and filter, which
incorporates an exhalation valve
for comfort and
longer filter life,
weighs less than 60g.
The initial unit is
sold with three
replacement masks.
Replacement filters
are sold separately in
boxes of 10.
The spectacles
conform to EN166.1F, and the
mask conforms to EN1827:1999
