European Eco-label seal of approval October 1st 2008 There are fears
that green
agendas will
be sacrificed
as businesses
tighten their
belts. But in
reality, going
green can
actually save
companies money says
Green Planet Solutions (GPS).
Research in the cleaning industry
has led to development of
cleaning products which will
offer the industry an effective,
affordable alternative to harmful
chemicals.
GPS claims it has the first
cleaning range manufactured for
commercial use in the UK to be
awarded the European Eco-label.
The Eco-label is recognised as the
top-level award scheme for
products that provide first class
performance with minimal
environmental impact.
Detergents and cleaning
products which carry the Ecolabel
– also known as the Flower
– achieve high levels of
biodegradability and are
independently assessed to prove
they perform as well as, if not
better than, other leading brands.
Due to high concentration
levels, GPS claims Eco-label
products products are used
sparingly, meaning they last
longer and are cost effective.The
products are also compliant with
both current and future
legislation, which comes under
the REACH agreement, ensuring a
high level of protection for
humans, animals and the
environment.They are also
compliant with the European
Biocidal Products Directive.
GPS says its products are able
to perform as well as leading
brands, without the use of
aggressive chemicals.They are
colloid cleaners based on micelle
technology.Micelle molecules
separate and suspend
contaminants and dirt, lifting it
from the surface to which it
adheres, so dirt and other
substances including oil, adopt
the characteristics of watersoluble
substances.This reaction
allows surfaces to be cleaned
easily and effectively without
being detrimental to health or
the environment. GPS is seeking
distributors for the range. More articles from Green Planet Solutions Ltd: |
