Checking green credentials

Jangro is checking out the environmental credentials of its key suppliers.

This programme supports Jangro's intentions of buying what is best for the environment from cradle to grave.

Metsa Tissue products have The Nordic Ecolabel, a voluntary scheme that evaluates a product's impact on the environment throughout the whole lifecycle.The scheme ensures independent control and that strict ecological and performance criteria are fulfilled.

Commenting on his mill visit Neil said:"I was very impressed with the environmental and forestation policies of Metsa Tissue.

Production waste is even used to generate free heating to a village close to one of its mills.

We have seen first hand how all possible actions are continually being made to make Metsa Tissue products as environmentally friendly as possible."
