SCA has been recognised as one

Global 100 Most Sustainable
Corporations in the World,'was

were evaluated on various
environmental and social
aspects.The 100 companies that
qualify for the list must have an
exceptional ability to address
their sector-specific
environmental and social risks

"It is a great honour that SCA
qualifies for the list," says Patrik

also an acknowledgement of the
comprehensive and long-term
work we put into environmental
and sustainability issues, an effort
than continues undiminished."

environmental goal whereby the
company will reduce its carbondioxide
emissions from fossil
fuels and from the purchase of
electricity and heating by 20% in
relation to the production level
by the year 2020, with 2005 as
reference year.
SCA's forests have an annual
growth that exceeds felling and
leads to a net absorption of
carbon-dioxide, corresponding to
2.6m tonnes.
The company is a large
consumer and producer of biofuels
with only 1% of its fuel
