It's goodbye to scarecrows with new solar power bird scarer
December 1st 2009

Scarecrow has launched COMPACT – a bio-acoustic bird dispersal product powered by renewable energy.

It has been designed for use in urban and rural environments. It is completely portable, providing up to 360o dispersal with solar power capability to allow independence from all external power supplies. It can also be mains powered.

COMPACT can be wall mounted as a single unit or as a double unit on a scaffold pole for 360o output.

COMPACT can be used across fruit farms, crop fields, food production plants, parks, warehouses, shopping centres and other outdoor urban areas. It can be set up to play when bird movement is detected using infrared sensor technology.Using fully automatic and random play, it can operate 24 /7.

The bio-acoustic bird dispersal system uses natural species distress calls to create an environment appearing 'hostile' to birds. It is humane, inoffensive and does not endanger their lives.
