Energy saving dryer
December 1st 2009 Highbury College, Portsmouth,
has installed the Eco Dry energy
efficient hand
dryer – the latest
addition to the
Green Planet
Solutions range.
The hand dryer
has a variable
speed motor that
enables it to
perform efficiently
using just
1–1.4kW, ensuring low annual
running costs of around £8.
"The decision to go with the
GPS Eco Dry was due to its
ability to work in all areas of the
campus," says Ian McGaw, head
of estates at Highbury College.
"There are areas in the college
where it would have been
difficult to install an
energy saving hand
dryer, and we needed a
dryer that doesn't break
the sound barrier.
"The Eco Dry can be
adjusted to
accommodate the noise
reduction levels
required in some areas,
while continuing to dry
hands in under 12 seconds.
"The Eco Dry offered us
energy savings against a normal
dryer and was great value for
