Brine based sterilisation for hospitals
June 1st 2010

Environmental Hygiene Solutions (EHS) has announced a new product range that will support health care professionals’ infection control strategies. Announced at the Patient Safety Congress, the company is the exclusive UK distributor of SUPROX, a disinfectant and sterilising range of liquids, handwash and wipes.

Based on electrolysed brine, SUPROX offers the healthcare and care sectors a powerful alternative that is 100% biocidal, fungicidal and sporicidal but contains none of the chemicals or alcohols found in existing products.

Environmental cleanliness has been addressed by products that are typically alcohol-based and comprise many different chemicals including Isopropanol (IPA), Phenolics, and Chlorine Releasing compounds (NaDCC) that can be harmful or toxic.

The SUPROX range will provide infection control specialists with a new tool to combat a range of infections including MRSA, Clostridium difficile and HIV. Based on superoxidised water produced by an electro-chemical process, SUPROX is a powerful disinfectant and sterilisation solution that is safe to drink if accidentally swallowed. Because it contains no alcohol, there is no restriction on where SUPROX dispensers are located.SUPROX is 100% biodegradable and not detrimental to the environment or aquatic life.
