Taking a swing at sanitisers August 1st 2010 'Ichi'by name and itchy by
nature, Seattle Mariners' right
fielder Ichiro Suzuki might
be a world-famous nine time
Major League Baseball All Star,
but he is also extremely
sensitive to the fragrances used
in traditional disinfectants.
"Viral, bacterial and fungal
break outs are typically common
in changing and training areas, so
thorough cleaning is vital," says
Mariners' trainer, Rick Griffin."We
needed to find something deadly
to germs, but Ichi-friendly."
Seattle Mariners are now using
UK-developed Byotrol hand and
surface sanitisers in their training
room, where the forty players
train as well as receiving
treatment and long-term care
performances. Byotrol uses a
combination of non-toxic
compounds that kill microbes on
impact, and forms a residual layer
on surfaces and skin. More articles from Byotrol: |
