European Cleaning Products conference, held 16 – 18 September 2008 in London, promises a global perspective of the effect of going green in the European cleaning products industry, with speakers from the major firms sharing their knowledge

Building on the success of the Cleaning Products USA conference held last year in Washington DC, Cleaning Products 2008 offers a global perspective of the effect of ‘going green’ in the European cleaning products industry.

With the increase in disease outbreaks contributing to the overall awareness of microbial control and hygiene, combined with the implementation of REACH, cleaning products are now in the limelight to not only combat disease but also be environmentally sustainable.

Leading experts in the industry from manufacturers, suppliers, brand owners, researchers, legislators and academics are set to come together at Cleaning Products 2008 to discuss the future of the industry. This is an ideal opportunity to share insider news, strategic innovations and gain insights into the latest technology in green design and industrial biotechnology and understand how they will assist the cleaning product industry to achieve both environmental benefits and high efficacy.

‘Understanding REACH for the cleaning products industry’ is the theme of the pre-conference workshop which will take place on the 16 September. This intensive training session will be of particular use for chemical companies, European manufacturers, importers and downstream suppliers of cleaning products to understand the scope and content of the new regulations.

Over the two day conference delegates will have the opportunity to have all their questions answered by a line up of global industry representatives including Akzo Nobel, Ciba, Ecover, European Environment Bureau,Henkel, JohnsonDiversey,Novozymes, Procter & Gamble, REACHWise, Stepan Europe and WWF.These are just a few of the speakers from a line up of 20 who will be presenting at the conference on consumer trends and market drivers for green cleaning, latest technology and developments and future regulatory plans that will shape the future of the cleaning products industry.

What’s more, by attending the conference delegates will have the opportunity to meet key contacts in the industry to form business relationships at the drinks reception that will be held on Wednesday 17 September.
