Building up to the 2012 Olympics April 1st 2011 Kaizen Group has almost finished restoring part of the
Criterion Building in London, ready for the 2012 London
Olympics.
The company's specialist stone-cleaning team is currently working
on the entire central London block in Piccadilly, which incorporates
the Criterion Theatre, Lillywhites and Jermyn Street.
The limestone, Portland stone building is being holistically cleaned
through a combination of Jos Torc and Doff systems. Kaizen has
cleaned the window frames and green marble and has overcome the
difficulty of getting water and power supplies to the site, as well as
securing planning permission and the logistics that come with a job
this size.
The Criterion Building opened its doors in 1874 and is home to the
Criterion Theatre,The Criterion Restaurant, Lilywhites,McKinsey & Co,
Cafe Concerto and Cool Britannia.
Kaizen specialises in cleaning, repairing and restoring stone
