Discarded pieces of chewing gum can be quickly and easily removed by GumBusters equipment using dry steam applied with an environmentally friendly cleaning agent, leaving behind a clean surface that dries in moments GumBusters technology is also suitable for graffiti and flyposter removal.Traditional methods require a chemical application and washing off with copious amounts of pressurised water. However this approach is messy, and the area being treated must be closed off to the public. With Gumbusters, the steam is injected with the detergent as it is released from the cleaning head and the gum is instantly heated by the steam to 175°C. The combination of heat and bio-degradable detergent removes the stickiness from the gum which is simultaneously dissolved. Steam cleaning uses much smaller quantities of water and will leave only a damp surface that quickly dries. There is no waste and no inconvenience to the public. The GumBusters machine can be mounted either on a trolley or within a van for use over a wider range. As the amount of water required is so small (less than 40 litres per day) this can also be carried on board to create a completely self-sufficient streetcleansing unit. With ready portability, both chewing gum and graffiti can be quickly and easily removed whenever it appears, helping to ensure that additional copycat attacks are not encouraged. GumBusters distributors are available nationally, for more details call the number on the right. More articles from Osprey Deepclean Ltd: |
