Party’s over for graffiti August 29th 2007
The street party, held on Sunday 26th August, saw huge numbers of visitors attracted by the extravagant floats, traditional steel bands and multitudes of stores lining the streets.
Graffiti hit an all time high during the carnival as revellers left a lasting impression on the area. Fortunately for local residents, Notting Hill’s cleaning teams were well prepared for graffiti attacks.
Nomix Anti-Graffiti Kits have been used by Jack Vadia of Notting Hill Housing Trust to remove graffiti from seven units with about 600 residents.
“I use them on all kinds of things including metal and wooden doors, windows, bins, lights and walls,” says Vadia.
“Graffiti was a big problem on my patch, but since we started cleaning it up as it occurred with the kits, it has virtually stopped. The carnival is our only real hotspot and the kits mean that’s hardly a problem at all.”
Nomix Anti-graffiti kits contain all the graffiti removers needed for a range of different surfaces, the various implements included mean the job can be done by hand.
