Zero emission electric sweeper
April 1st 2007 Gurney Reeve says its Electra ECOSweep 360 operates quietly, with zero emissions, for a full working shift on a single overnight charge. Suitable for all hard surfaces, the ECOSweep operates at 16kph using powerful twin forward-mounted, free floating brushes in conjunction with a vacuum system. It can handle inclines of up to 20% and has a sweeping width of up to 1.5m and a hopper capacity of either 360 or 240 litres. The ECOSweep 360 will also climb a 4 inch kerb. Electric power not only means zero emissions, but also minimal noise, so the sweeper is suitable for environments from residential areas to warehouses, distribution centres etc. Other features include: Sensors to ensure battery is not overcharged, plus a warning system that tells drivers when only 20km of range is left.
