Easy rider's clean sweep
March 1st 2006 Nilfisk-Advance SR 1000S ride-on sweepers are dramatically cutting floor cleaning time and costs at Arora International Hotels.
The chain's cleaning needs to be carried out with minimum disturbance to guests, so high productivity machines with a low noise level are paramount.
Corridors that took 90 minutes to clean using a conventional cable vacuum cleaner now take just nine minutes using the battery-operated 1000S ride-on sweeper with carpet brush attachment.
"We thought we were getting the carpets clean before, but with the SR 100S we've really noticed the difference and the side brush goes right up to the skirting,"says Lorraine Dale, Group Housekeeper, Arora international Hotels. "Also the battery version we're using is extremely quiet, there's no trailing cable to create a safety hazard - and we're achieving significant cost savings without compromising quality."
Compact and easy to manoeuvre, the SR 1000S makes light work of large carpeted areas.
Its twin brush design draws dirt and debris in to the centre of the machine for collection in the hopper via a powerful vacuum. It can also pick up discarded drinks cans, paper cups and luggage tags as well as general dust and dirt - making it suitable for hotels, conference facilities and similar hospitality environments.
