A vacuum sweeper worth its salt
August 1st 2007

Visitors to the grounds care and maintenance show, Saltex, will get a first look at Hako's new vacuum sweeper, the Jonas 1200, on stand F30

Designed for rapid and economical vacuum sweeping in a wide array of facilities, Hako claims one look at the Jonas 1200 will be enough to see it stands out from the crowd.

Aimed at areas including multi-storey car parks, warehouse and production buildings and permanent outdoor facilities such as promenades, it has a sweep width of 80 cm (115 cm with a first side broom and 147 cm with a second) capable of cleaning areas of up to 13,200m2 easily and efficiently. Thanks to the machine's powerful drives and a robust construction, Hako says it cleans outdoors as effectively as indoors.

The mid-size sweeper offers a choice of petrol, LPG, diesel or battery drive. The petrol and diesel versions have powerful and quiet running two cylinder engines, while the diesel version offers a watercooled engine.A 25-litre fuel tank enables running times of up to ten hours without the need to refuel, while the battery version has a running time of up to five hours. Regardless of power choice, the powerful drives guarantee a climbing ability of 18 per cent.

"The Jonas 1200 delivers a superior sweeping solution for both the operative and the facility," says industrial sales manager,Glyn Richards."Features include a free-floating, suspended main broom, which can be adjusted easily to suit different types of floor conditions, and the cassette filter system, which ensures clean used air. It also has the R2S filter-cleaning device (a patented Hako system) which has already been proven in other Hako vacuum sweepers and ensures an unblocked filter even during long periods of operation.

Every consideration possible has been addressed." Alongside performance, Hako's Jonas 1200 offers greater operator comfort to ensure that even over long shifts operators will not experience fatigue. An ergonomic driving position allows users, no matter what their build, a comfortable seat and a clear view of the working service. The large wheels can even mount kerbs effortlessly and ensure comfort on uneven surfaces.

Hako will also be showcasing its range of sweepers and vacuum sweepers which range from manually operated sweepers such as the compact Profi-Flipper and the mid-size Hamster collection as well as other members of the Jonas family.
