August 1st 2008 MITIE Transport Services,a division
of the MITIE Group, is maintaining
domestic station platforms, retail
arcades and concourse floors at
the redeveloped St Pancras
International using a range of
Nilfisk machines, from ride-on
scrubber/dryers to high speed
single disc machines.
"The surfaces we clean are
mainly Terrazzo and the Nilfisk
machines do a great job keeping
them clean and mark free," says
Paul Lomax, general manager for
MITIE's transport cleaning team.
"The company's back-up service
and operator training is also
superb."
Nilfisk has supplied a complete
floor cleaning equipment
package, including a modified BR
1300 ride-on scrubber/dryer.The
machine's standard 1300mm
scrub deck was changed to an
1100mm deck so it can easily be
moved via lifts between levels.
The BR 1300 cleans hard surfaces
up to 6,200m2 per hour.A
cylindrical brush model with
adjustable brush pressures was
selected.The smaller BR 850 and
BR 1100 ride-on scrubber/dryers
are fitted with Nilfisk's EDS - ECO
Dosage Solution.This dispenses
