Takes the rough with the smooth October 1st 2006 Cleanfix says its scrubber dryers are robust enough to withstand constant use in the harshest environments – but wouldn't look out of place in a shopping centre or supermarket either. Built for the user, controls are simple and the machines easy to get to grips with. Mains or battery powered, and in sizes to suit all applications, the latest compact machines have scrubbing widths of 43, 50, 56 and 70cms.According to Cleanfix, they come with features usually associated with larger models – handling all floor types and capable of tackling floor stripping tasks. Capacities vary from 32 litres up to 90 litres across the series, which the company claims is enough to handle general duties on most floors without having to stop and refill. Brush rotation speeds range from 135 rpm to 200rpm in the series. Apart from these latest machines, Cleanfix says two flagship models in the autoscrubber range are the Sauber ride-on ( pictured, which fits through doorways only 80cm wide) and the Robo 40, a floor scrubbing machine that can be left on its own to clean a specified area at a rate of 400sq m per hour.According to Cleanfix, the labour savings mean it pays for itself in six months. As well as warehouses and retail environments, Cleanfix says it can clean any large space, freeing up operators to do other jobs.
