Nationwide equipment hire firm, HSS, has ordered a fleet of Nilfisk-ALTO SCRUBTEC 343 walk behind scrubber driers to meet growing demand from contract cleaners and end users in commerce, industry and the public sector. Nilfisk says the SCRUBTEC 343 is an economical, userfriendly compact machine for all round floor cleaning tasks – and guards against slips and trips.

HSS is investing in SCRUBTEC 343E mains powered machines and battery powered SCRUBTEC 343B combi machines."We have selected these machines for their excellent performance, reliability, and competitiveness," says HSS product buyer, Chloe Stirling."These are the same criteria that impressed us when we selected industrial vacuum cleaners from Nilfisk-ALTO – and those machines have met our hire expectations." The machines will be hired out typically to end users or cleaning contractors for short term business needs, such as one-off projects, urgent new contracts, or cover for problems with existing equipment.

Karl Kingston, Nilfisk-ALTO's sales and marketing director, says the SCRUBTEC 343 is a popular and productive performer at the lower end of the scrubber drier range."These machines are designed for frequent use," he says."They are well suited to the pressures of the hire market and will give good service to HSS customers. They ensure a safe floor surface in the workplace, which is a current focus of the Health and Safety Executive." Five types of brushes and pads are available for both models.With high brush pressure, a 430mm scrubbing width, and a speed of 4km/h they can theoretically clean up to 1,720m2/h. A 730mm breakaway squeegee and powerful suction ensure the floor is properly dry, as well as clean.The 29 litre solution and recovery tanks allow generous working cycles – and are easily recharged and emptied.The SCRUBTEC 343 is easy to transport, user friendly, and highly manoeuvrable with its brush assisted traverse.The SCRUBTEC 343E plugs into any 230V power point, and has a 20m power cable.The SCRUBTEC 343B combi has a 24V 50AH battery with onboard charger.
