Mop handle's precious mettle April 1st 2008 A new silver-based anti-microbial mop handle that fits almost all mops has joined the
fight against cross contamination
I've been everywhere man" is the strap line for the new HX
SteriTouch System antibacterial mop handle from Yorkshire
Cleaning Fabrics, and with good reason when you consider the
bacteria that comes into contact with the everyday handle on a
regular basis...
A useful new tool in the fight against cross contamination, the
HX SteriTouch System has been protected in three key areas (the
grip, the shaft and the fitting) with antimicrobial agent SteriTouch,
which is designed to inhibit growth and eliminate harmful
organisms, reducing the risk of cross contamination through
manual handling.
SteriTouch uses silver technology and in tests showed over 99.99
per cent effectiveness against MRSA and E-COLI, according to
Yorkshire Cleaning Fabrics. It is also effective against listeria,
salmonella, mould and fungi.
The fitting on the new HX SteriTouch system is designed with
flexibility in mind.As well as the HX socket mop, the handle fits most
push fit mops and even metal socket mops and is available in four
hygiene colours for colour coding purposes.
"The HX SteriTouch is particularly relevant for hospitals, nursing
homes, schools and food industry," says Yorkshire Cleaning Fabric's
Piers Greenwood."We now seek further distributors interested in the
new handle and the rest of our
janitorial range". More articles from Yorkshire Cleaning Fabrics Ltd: |
